ABOUT THIS COLLECTION

Maquinaria Alzada is a handmade poetry artifact that explores the friction between human consciousness and mechanical logic. These poems question the architectures of language, moving between intuition and structure, vulnerability and system.

Each page bears traces of a process where organic writing collides with machinic rhythm—a choreography of words that resist and reconfigure. This is poetry as an open mechanism: unstable, layered, and alive in its material presence.

Materials Used

This edition was crafted as an intimate object, privileging slowness and tactility over mass reproduction.

  • Cover: Hand-cut and scored, featuring minimal typographic design
  • Printing: I printed this edition on an Epson ET-8550
  • Binding: Hand-stitched and manually assembled in the studio—each copy is unique

Behind the Scenes

The writing emerged from a series of speculative exercises confronting the posthuman condition. Poems were drafted manually, then intervened upon through structural disruptions inspired by machine logic.

The decision to produce a fully handmade edition reflects a deliberate act of resistance—a way of reclaiming material intimacy in a time dominated by screens and automated processes.

Maquinaria Alzada was conceived as an artifact rather than a conventional chapbook. The making of each copy was a slow dialogue between design, craft, and concept. Producing only 20 units allowed me to care for every detail—the texture of the paper, the precision of each stitch, the rhythm of the sequence.

The result is not just a collection of poems, but an object carrying the aura of time and soul.
