ABOUT
ThirdNature.art is my online gallery, featuring limited-edition artifacts that explore themes of identity and culture, world-building, technologies of the self, fragmentation, and hybridity—among other things that interfere with soul, body, and mind—framed by cybernetics and posthuman ideas.
Conceptually, Third Nature reflects on the premise that the artifacts, devices, systems, and other technical infrastructures we create have evolved into an omnipresent and transformative force that shapes our experience of the world. These artifacts are seamlessly woven into our environment, entangled with untouched nature (first nature) and culture (second nature), and have become as inherent to us as the air we breathe or the water we drink.
Through my work, I explore the complex challenges posed by integrating emerging technologies into our lives. Each project examines the impact that the objects we create have on our systems, and how ideas, techniques, materials, production, manufacturing processes, local and global economies, and culture interact.
I’m deeply interested in the kinds of exchanges—spiritual, intellectual, social, and commercial—that sustain a hybrid culture. Cultivating relationships with collectors is essential to me, as we share a curiosity about how we experience existence and imagine possible futures. Each inquiry is part of a broader effort to understand the socio-economic and cultural forces that shape the contemporary meaning of survival.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on what I’m working on. Don’t hesitate to contact me at hello@thirdnature.art if you have any questions.
