ABOUT THIS COLLECTION
Hybrid Feelings is a limited-edition zine that emerged during the development of the exhibition Move Semantics: [Rules of Unfolding], presented at the Project Space of The Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts in New York.
This coloring book traces the invisible terrain where bodies—human and non-human—intersect through vibration, sensation, and affect. It reflects on language beyond words: a vibrational code shared between species, machines, and environments. The zine combines notes, sketches, and conceptual fragments that shaped the Sensitive Machines™ project—installations designed to explore how presence can become an interspecies dialogue.
The idea for the coloring book originated from my desire for readers to actively participate in imagining how the invisible dimensions of feelings and feedback might appear.

Behind the Scenes
The zine emerged as a repository of gestures—drawings, textual fragments, and conceptual diagrams that informed the creation of Sensitive Machines™. These machines invite a meditative exchange, where vibrations become a shared language between species and environments.
The goal was to bring to light a process often hidden: the slow, iterative thinking behind an installation-based work. By doing so, the zine provides an intimate glimpse into a practice that is concerned with relationality, resonance, and hybrid states of being.
Assembling Hybrid Feelings required revisiting raw studio material: diagrams drawn on scraps, annotations from conversations, and early mechanical sketches. Editing became an act of composing traces—allowing the zine to feel less like a finished object and more like an open field for interpretation.
